Thanks for checking us out. We’re glad you’re here and hope to see you at one of our worship or prayer services. Church is not about a building and neither are our services. We are a people, the body of Christ, sinners saved by grace. That’s right. Our church is full of imperfect people. That should make you feel all the more welcome. All of us fall short of God’s glory and need a Savior—Jesus Christ.

As you consider visiting us, here is more information you may want.

Our members and attendees tend to dress in anything from a more formal suit and a tie to casual jeans and a t-shirt. You’re invited to come as you are, whether it’s a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing.

There is plentiful parking on Sunday mornings either immediately next to the worship center or in the overflow parking lot. We want to love our neighbors and serve them well, so we ask you not to park in the neighborhoods, in driveways, or in retail areas surrounding the church.

At Lamar Baptist Church, we hold to the tenets of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and subscribe to its doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message (2000). We are dually aligned with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) and Texas Baptists state conventions and are affiliated with the Tarrant Baptist Association (TBA) as well. For more information about our beliefs as a Southern Baptist church, please view our Basic Beliefs, Position Statements, and the SBC Frequently Asked Questions.
